  • State Bar of California – Go here to download the consumer pamphlet What Should I Know if I am Arrested? This guide explains your rights to remain silent and have an attorney and explains crucial steps in the arrest process such as the arraignment and preliminary hearing. You’ll also find important information about searches and arrests with or without a warrant.

  • Superior Court of Los Angeles County – This court handles criminal cases involving misdemeanors, felonies and infractions in LA. Visit the criminal division section of the website to search for a case or learn important legal terms and rules for appearing in court. See the page on bail schedules to earn how bail may be computed for a felony, misdemeanor or infraction. Note that cash bail is ending in October 2019. See our FAQs page for more information.

  • California Department of Motor Vehicles – This page at the DMV website contains general information about DUI arrests in California, including license suspension and reinstatement issues.
